On Tuesday, May 14, in the House of Football in Moscow, the Russian Football Union and the Russian Anti-Doping Agency “RUSADA” signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of countering doping in sports. The document was signed by the RFU President Alexander Dyukov and RUSADA Director General Yury Ganus.

The agreement provides for the interaction of the parties in the struggle for the cleanness of sports; cooperation in organizing and conducting anti-doping educational activities; cooperation in investigating possible anti-doping rule violations; defending the fundamental right of Russian athletes to participate in doping-free competitions, promoting and supporting sports; increasing the authority of Russian sports in the international arena.

“The RFU considers it necessary to adhere to global trends in the fight against doping, and the signing of an agreement with RUSADA is an important step in this work,” said Alexander Dyukov. - In our partners, we first of all see a powerful knowledge base that will be aimed at training and maintaining high anti-doping literacy of all the football community members. For its part, the RFU is ready to guarantee RUSADA full assistance and openness in matters of anti-doping work.”

“We welcome cooperation with the RFU and are ready to provide all support in anti-doping support,” said Yuri Ganus, in turn. - We have gained considerable experience in cooperation with sports federations, and we can say that the RFU stands out for a balanced, constructive and transparent approach to interaction, not hiding possible problems, but trying to resolve them within the framework of existing international standards. Fortunately, there are practically no such problems in Russian football. And it is not only about interaction with the top management, but also about interaction with the athletes and personnel. "
