The annual international WADA symposium has finished in Lausanne

On March, 14, the annual international WADA symposium has finished in Lausanne. Extensive agenda focused on a wide range of anti-doping issues, which were discussed with reference to the doping crisis in Russia.

During the Symposium RUSADA Director General Yuri Ganus and WADA representatives of all authorities levels and relevant departments conducted a number of working meetings where they discussed issues related to the current state of affairs and resolution of doping crisis in Russia and aspects of future cooperation. The Symposium was attended by heads of RUSADA departments, who actively interacted with representatives of relevant WADA departments, with leaders of international anti-doping organizations, sports federations, anti-doping laboratories.

At numerous meetings during the Symposium international colleagues expressed their respect for the achievements and development dynamics of the reformed Russian anti-doping agency, as well as assurances of support for the new RUSADA. During the welcome report at the beginning of the Symposium WADA President Craig Reedy praised the achievements of the new Russian anti-doping agency and its current state.

During the Symposium, Yuri Ganus held meetings with candidates for the post of WADA President, who will be elected this fall.
